Тема. Наука і технічний прогрес.
Підтема. Веб-сайти для молоді.
Мета. Освітня – ознайомити учнів з молодіжними веб-сайтами та інформацією,
                             яку вони представляють, навчати виражати свої сподівання,
                             вести бесіду у формі діалогу та монологу, навчати швидко
                             орієнтуватися у завданні; навчати читання з метою отримання
                             необхідної інформації та розумінням змісту тексту, слухати та
                             та сприймати текст на слух, навчати дітей працювати в парах ,                               групах, складати міні-проекти за поданими малюнками та                                    презентувати їх.

           Розвиваюча – розвивати в учнів навички усного монологічного діалогіч-
                              ного мовлення, вміння швидко реагувати на поставлене                                         завдання (розвивати кмітливість), продовжувати розвивати                                   уяву учнів та
                              їх креативне мислення, мовну здогадку, пам'ять, увагу,                                           логічне мислення.
           Виховна – виховувати любов до навчання, повагу до вчителів на                                              однокласників; виховувати культуру поведінки та                                                 спілкування; прищеплювати бажання вчитися та пізнавати                                      нове.
           Практична – вдосконалювати техніку читання учнів з метою розуміння
                              змісту тексту, практикувати учнів в усному монологічному та
                              діалогічному мовленні, повторити лексичний матеріал з теми,
                              повторити та закріпити на письмі вивчений граматичний мате-
                              ріал – умовні речення І та ІІ типу, тренувати учнів у складанні
                              міні-проектів.
Обладнання: підручник, кольорові долоні, картки зі словами, мікрофон, презентації, картки на закріплення лексики, картки на закріплення граматичного матеріалу, малюнки для міні-проектів.

Хід уроку
І. Greeting.
    1. Greeting. Aims.
T: Good morning pupils. I am very glad to see you today. How are you? Are you Ok? I hope our lesson will be interesting and useful for you. I hope for our cooperation today. Let’s start our lesson.
Today we’ll speak about popular youth sites. We know that youth spend tremendous time in front of the computer screen. What do they do? Do they study or play? Or maybe listen to music or do the shopping. Talk with their pen-friends, watch videos or simply try to kill free time? Or maybe they just do not know the sites which may be useful for them? Let’s try to solve this problem today and find out the different sides of the Internet.

    2. Warming up.
T: At first, I would like to propose you to find the colour palms on the back of your chairs. (Expectations).
Write your expectations for today’s lesson and keep them to the end of the lesson.

Game “Brainstorming”.
T: In the middle of our blackboard you can see a word “COMPUTER”. Your task is as quickly as you can to write some words which are connected with our central word and put them on the blackboard.

II. The main part of the lesson.
1.     Speaking. Method “Microphone”.
T: P1 – P2 – P3.
T: Answer the questions -  What for do you use the Internet?
-         What is the Internet for you?
-         In what way do you use it?
-         Does it help you to do your homework or not?
-         Do you use it for studying or entertainment?
-         Do you agree with the statement that using the Internet is only a wasting (or killing) time?

2.     Presenting new material about web-sites for youth.
Some pupil from the class had got a special task – to make up a short presentation about one youth site (flipped learning).
They present their presentation to other children.
T: And now we are going to watch some presentations about youth sites.
·  Why are they interesting and useful for us.
·  In what way can we use them?
T: After each presentation you should make up a question to our presenter.

3.     Lexical revision.
T: We have already learnt new words by our topic at the previous lessons. So, I would like to propose you to revise them in a following way.
Exercise “Interesting words”. Work with cards.

T: I’ll give you the cards. Be very attentive. You should add two letters to each of the following words (in any place) to form a new word. A clue is given to help you.

T: Open your books on page 85. Read and translate the text for yourself.

1. A site that simply exists for teenage girls and boys. You can get advice and suggestions on lots of topics. You may ask about everything you want.  (Teenmag.com/advice/)
2. All sorts of video….all the time! You may watch them full screen. It’s so convenient and interesting. You can get suggestions for new videos to add to you playlist.

3. A lot of music and songs. In any taste. You can simply sing along or record yourself and save it. It may be interesting and funny. (redkaraoke. Com)

4. You are going to enter to the University…this site is very useful for you. It gives detailed information about subjects, locations, financial aid and more! (Campusexplorer.com)

5. Video for any format whether it’s from your cell phone or camera. Be attentive! There is a monthly fee for the service. (Immemories.com)

5.     Grammar. Writing. Work with the cards.
T: You should open the brackets into the 1st or 2nd Conditionals.

T: I have two envelopes with pictures. Each team chooses one for itself.
    You should make up a mini-project “Why I use the Internet”.
    One member from each team represents their project.
